Not quite convinced the apple cider vinegar warts remedy is as great as they claim it to be? I did too. In fact, when I first ran across the acv, I saw someone claiming it could get rid of warts in just a mere five days. Now, for someone who had a wart for years and had been trying all sorts of over the counter treatments with no results, as well as home remedies with nothing to show, I was highly skeptical. I did eventually decide to give it a try though because I had nothing else to lose. I had tried all sorts of different solutions and the wart was still there. Well, let me just start things off by saying that I should have given this remedy a chance way sooner.
To use this all natural remedy, you have to make sure you using an all-natural, organic apple cider vinegar that is unfiltered. That may sound a lot like it’ll some hard to find vinegar, but it’s actually very easy to get your hands on some. You can find it in most grocery stores. You have to look a little bit and find it buried in the selection of regular distilled vinegar, but it should be there. If all else fails and you can’t find an organic and unfiltered acv then you may opt to use a non-organic vinegar. BUT you need to make sure it is unfiltered. You should have no problem finding unfiltered acv that are non-organic.
With the vinegar aside, you will also need a few more items to make this apple cider vinegar warts successful. While you’re at the local store grabbing the vinegar, make sure you buy the following as well:
To use this remedy, take a clean cotton swab and apply a thin layer of Vaseline to the healthy skin around the wart. Take care not to get any Vaseline on the wart. The layer of Vaseline acts as a protective layer for the healthy skin. ACV will burn any skin tissue it makes contact with for an extended period of time, so the Vaseline will help minimize this side effect. You don’t have to use a cotton swab to apply the Vaseline, but I like to use it so I don’t have to wash my hands. This is especially helpful if you’re trying to use the apple cider vinegar warts remedy on a wart that’s located on your hands.
Once you have applied a protective layer of Vaseline on the surround skin, you can go to the next step. Add a few drops of apple cider vinegar on a piece of cotton pad that has been cut to size. You want to cotton pad to be soaked, but not so much that it is dripping excess acv. If it is, squeeze a bit out. As long as the entire cotton pad is moist with vinegar, it will work. Place the soaked cotton pad on the wart. Secure the cotton pad in place with a piece of duct tape. Use a few more pieces of duct tape to make sure there isn’t an opening for the acv to dry out. I like to use three pieces of tape. One piece holds it down and a piece of tape on each side of the first piece. Press the tapes firmly in place to prevent it from falling off.
Leave everything on overnight. Let the acv do its job at peeling off the wart. It’s going to take a few days before you see sights of results. The longer the remedy continues, the more sensitive the treated are will get. If it gets too painful, you can give it a day or two of rest before continuing again. Keep an eye out for dark tiny spots in the wart. These dark spots will increase in numbers and eventually the entire wart will look like it has turned black. Once the whole wart is black, it will start to come off. If it doesn’t come off by itself, you can see if you can gently tug at the wart. If there is not pain and no bleeding, you may be safe to pull it out. If you experience any pain or any bleeding, stop immediately and let the wart dry out and heal for a day or two. Then continue with the acv again.
